Auburn’s Kenneth Noe knows there is much to learn from the past. After all, the Draughon Professor of Southern History in the College of Liberal Arts has devoted the majority of his life, including a four-decade academic career, to it.
“I’ve come to believe that there is great responsibility in teaching history,” said Noe. “Especially today, when we live in a culture where the truth matters less and less. We’re surrounded by cynicism and spin without shame.

Bentley Crowe Fallis, 75, of Marietta, passed away on December 7, 2020. He was born on December 16, 1944, and was the son of the late Sherry and Gladys Fallis of LaGrange. He was a graduate of LaGrange High School and earned bachelor s and master s degrees in education from the University of West Georgia. He taught for thirty years in the Cobb County School District, the majority as a Title I teacher at Harmony Leland Elementary School in Mableton. Bentley was an avid reader and an amateur genealogist who loved to do research at the Georgia Room of the Cobb County Library System. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-uncle, and he loved his roles as Papa and Uncle Bentley. He made friends everywhere he went, and he will be remembered for his laughter, his warmth, his prodigious memory, and his eccentric storytelling. The University of West Georgia offers one of the nation’s most outstanding online MBA programs, according to The Princeton Review. The education services company profiles the school in its list of Top 50 Online MBA Programs for 2021. The UWG Richards College of Business earned the 49th spot on the ranking list.
The list, which is the company’s sixth annual ranking of online MBA programs and a part of The Princeton Review’s Best Business Schools for 2021 project, was released earlier this month.
Dr. Faye McIntyre, dean of the Richards College of Business and Sewell Chair of Private Enterprise, said the recognition is a great honor.
