FORT KENT, Maine – The University of Maine at Fort Kent has announced its annual student awards and scholarships recently presented to both undergraduate students and those who graduated this spring. These awards and scholarships are presented to deserving students for their contributions to campus and their academic achievements.  John L. Martin Environmental Scholarship Award was presented to Jacob Paris (Fort Kent). Shane Tweedie (Winthrop) and Andrew Kooken (Hampstead, New Hampshire) were presented the Thomas S. Pinkham Memorial Scholarship.

Luse Lumas of Tracy, California, was honored with the Student Senate Outstanding Senior. Luke Mason of Bethel was presented the UMFK Alumni Association Outstanding Senior Award.

Caitlyn Daigle (Courtesy of Fort Kent Community High School) Daigle receives Principal’s Award Contributed • May 13, 2021 Caitlyn Daigle of Fort Kent, a senior at Fort Kent Community High School, has been selected to receive the 2021 Principal s Award, Principal John Kaleta announced.   FORT KENT, Maine Caitlyn Daigle of Fort Kent, a senior at Fort Kent Community High School, has been selected to receive the 2021 Principal’s Award, Principal John Kaleta announced.   The award, sponsored by the Maine Principals’ Association, is given in recognition of a high school senior’s academic achievement and citizenship.   “Throughout her four years at FKCHS, Caitlyn has distinguished herself not only in the classroom but also as a leader in student government and our community. She is equally respected by her peers and staff,” Kaleta said.
