ConvenientMD continues Maine expansion with opening of Ellsworth clinic

ConvenientMD, which operates five walk-in medical clinics across Maine, will soon add a sixth in Ellsworth. The clinic will open Jan. 7, at 235 High St., a previously vacant property that had housed a bank branch. The clinic will provide urgent care services seven days a week, according to a news release Tuesday. Like other ConvenientMD clinics, the Ellsworth site will provide a range of basic medical care, including treatment for common illnesses and injuries, COVID-19 testing, employer health services, physical exams and preventive health services. The clinic also will perform X-rays, laboratory testing and minor surgical procedures. Appointments are not necessary, and most insurance plans are accepted, but not required to receive care.
