ULM Online rankings feature 5 programs in the top 10

February is the month when many companies release their rankings of the country s best online programs.
ULM Online at the University of Louisiana Monroe has an impressive five programs in the top 10 in their respective categories. ULM has 11 total rankings, with five of those being the only university in the state making the ranking.

East Carroll Parish Library is hosting a virtual “Where We Came From” Summit. Attendees can choose to watch live and join the discussion by asking questions of panelists, or watch videos posted after each lecture. The live Zoom calls will be taking place on March 2, 9, & 16 from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
The first lecture is Tuesday March 2, and features Judge Laurie Brister as moderator for Jaleesa Harris and Dr. Leigh Hersey from the University of Louisiana Monroe. Their panel focuses on “Surviving Slavery, The Civil War and Liberation.”
Jaleesa Harris will speak about life under slavery and during the Civil War. Dr. Leigh Hersey will speak on the early Black suffrage movement.
Event Description
The University of Louisiana Monroe Fifth Annual Women’s Symposium in partnership with the ULM Alumni Association has a theme of “WINGS – Women Influencing the Next Generation of Success” and also celebrates March as Women’s History Month.
The symposium’s mission is to empower, motivate, and encourage girls and women from all backgrounds and all educational and professional levels to pursue their passions and seek leadership roles in their careers.
The move to a virtual platform is to make the symposium accessible to as many people as possible.
The symposium opens with keynote speaker Louisiana Commissioner of Higher Education Kim Hunter Reed, Ph.D.
