LOUISVILLE, Ky. A man died and two others were injured in a crash Thursday night on West Broadway, according to Louisville Metro Police.
LMPD s First Division officers and Traffic Unit responded just before 11 p.m. to the reported crash at the intersection of 18th Street and West Broadway, spokeswoman Alicia Smiley said.
Preliminary reports from witnesses indicated a man was driving a Dodge Challenger westbound on Broadway at a high rate of speed and that the driver ran the light at the intersection, Smiley said.
The man s vehicle was then struck by a Chrysler 300 heading southbound on 18th Street, with the impact sending the Challenger into the eastbound lanes of Broadway, where it struck another vehicle, Smiley said.
