First responders found a heavily damaged Chevy Traverse off the roadway with an injured woman and four injured children inside after a Wednesday afternoon crash in New Albany.

NEW ALBANY One adult and five children were hospitalized Wednesday after a crash near State Street in New Albany.
New Albany police and fire departments responded around 2:15 p.m. at the area of Pearl Street and Culbertson Avenue on a report of an accident with injuries, said a news release about 5:30 p.m. from the New Albany Police Department.
First responders found a heavily damaged Chevy Traverse off the roadway, with a woman and four children inside, all with injuries. The woman, 30, was taken to University of Louisville Hospital. Her condition was not known, the news release said.

Chalybeate, Ky. – On April 3, 2021, around 12:00 PM, Kentucky State Police Post 3 was requested by the Edmonson County Sheriff’s Office to investigate a fatal collision.
Troopers responded to the scene of the collision that occurred on Denham Road near the intersection of Noah Bledsoe Road in Edmonson County.
According to a report, 91 year-old Wilmon N. Linger, of Smiths Grove, was operating a 2005 Pontiac van on Noah Bledsoe Road.
Linger veered onto Denham Road where his vehicle exited the right side of the roadway, striking a tree and causing the vehicle to overturn.
A passenger in the vehicle, 88 year-old Mary C. Linger , of Smiths Grove, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Edmonson County Coroner’s Office.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. A 4-year-old child and a man were found shot to death in separate incidents around midnight Saturday, according to Louisville Metro Police.
The 4-year-old child, whose gender was not immediately available, was found shot to death about midnight in the 4000 block of Parthenia Avenue in the Hazelwood neighborhood, LMPD spokeswoman Alicia Smiley said. Authorities are conducting a death investigation as they try to piece together information leading up to the incident, Smiley said. Detectives in LMPD s Homicide Unit are handling the investigation and continue to interview witnesses trying to learn how such a young child lost their life, Smiley added.
According to a release from the Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD), one man is dead and another is injured following a shooting in the Portland neighborhood. Officers responded to a call of a shooting in the 400 block of North 21st Street around 11 p.m. Wednesday. When officers arrived they located a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The man was taken to University of Louisville Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. A short.
