Duo brings decades of financial services experience to leadership roles

SAN ANTONIO, Feb. 2, 2021 /PRNewswire/ USAA announced today that Paul Vincent will take the helm as the new USAA Federal Savings Bank President and Neeraj Singh has been selected as the company s new Chief Risk Officer. Both roles report to USAA CEO Wayne Peacock.
Vincent was chosen to lead USAA Federal Savings Bank after seven years of leadership at USAA, including the past two years as senior vice president and head of retail banking where he was responsible for deposits, credit card and payments business. Singh joins USAA from Citigroup, where he was chief risk officer for U.S. consumer banking and head of global consumer risk modeling.

In March 2020, Courtney Roberts’s chemistry department canceled its plans to host prospective graduate students for an on-campus recruitment weekend just 4 days before the event was set to start. In its place, the University of Minnesota chemistry department where Roberts is an assistant professor set out to offer a virtual alternative. Mobilizing to create such an event from scratch was no small feat. “There was no sleeping involved that week,” Roberts jokes.
Despite the scramble, the event was a success. “Y’all did a really good job in a difficult situation,” one prospective student wrote in anonymous feedback. “I felt like I got enough of a feel of the department to make a good decision,” wrote another. Roughly the same percentage of students accepted offers from the department compared to previous years.

If he wanted, he could also name a replacement for Joint Chiefs Chairman Army Gen. Mark Milley, who came under scrutiny under President Donald Trump for participating in a politically loaded photo op.
