Nonprofit seeks custom NC license plate to raise money for state’s famous Pilot Mountain
Nonprofits seeking to create special fund-raising license plates have until Feb. 15 to submit their requests to the NCDMV.

Organizers need 300 people to commit by Feb.12 so the application can be prepared and turned in.
A stylized picture of North Carolina’s Pilot Mountain, the landmark knob in Surry County that draws visitors from across the state, could soon adorn the license plates of cars and trucks of the mountain’s fans statewide and raise money for Pilot Mountain State Park.
