GREELEY Longtime “voice of Greeley” Joe Tennessen has died. The KFKA, 1310 AM, radio personality will be buried after an observance at Adamson Life Celebration Home today from 5 to 7 p.m. and a private family funeral mass at St. Peter Catholic Church.
Tennessen, 88, was emcee at numerous community events throughout his tenure in Greeley, which began when he joined KFKA as an announcer and later a part owner. He died Feb. 1 at Columbine Commons in Windsor.

HAMILTON The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced Tuesday the football club has signed three Americans on offence, including quarterbacks Jacob Knipp, Austin Simmons and wide receiver Kahlil Lewis.
Knipp, 25, played 36 games for the University of Northern Colorado over parts of six seasons (2014 to 2019), completing 553 of 903 passes (61.2 per cent) for 7,026 yards, 44 touchdowns and 29 interceptions. The six-foot-four, 213-pound native of Arvada, Colorado also registered 184 rushing attempts for 207 yards and seven rushing touchdowns. During his career with the Bears, Knipp was an All-Big Sky honourable mention (2019), a two-time Academic All-Big Sky member (2018, 2019) and served as a team captain in his final season.
Stampeders sign Crawford, Dozier, Odom
The Calgary Stampeders have signed Canadian long snapper Aaron Crawford. The native of Medicine Hat, Alta., played in 98 games with Hamilton from 2013 to 2019. Crawford has 23 career special-teams tackles.

Former Michigan Wolverines quarterback Dylan McCaffrey entered the transfer portal earlier this month, and on Sunday he announced his destination: the school where his dad and three-time Super Bowl champion is the head coach.
McCaffrey announced on Twitter that he’ll transfer to Northern Colorado, where his father, Ed McCaffrey, serves as the head football coach.
