CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - With President Donald Trump acknowledging president-elect Joe Bidenâs victory, NBC29 took a deeper look at the state of the Republican Party.
âI think the party is relatively divided, and I think thatâs what happens, usually, when a party loses the White House,â University of Virginia Center for Politics Director of Communications Kyle Kondik said.
Thereâs still many questions circulating how often Trump with be in the national light once leaving office.

WASHINGTON Violence at the United States Capitol Wednesday brought back horrific memories for those who witnessed the white supremacist violence in Charlottesville, Virginia four years ago.
University of Virginia Center for Politics Director Larry Sabato said while there are similarities between the two events, there really is no comparison to this dark day in our nation’s history.

RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - University of Virginia Center for Politics Executive Director Larry Sabato says President Donald Trump must now be removed from office with only two weeks left.
“This is what happens when you elect a narcissistic would-be dictator as President of the United States,” said Sabato.
Not holding back words, Sabato says Trump needs to go before his time in office is over.
