But many Americans don’t want to get vaccinated as myths and misunderstandings spread.
“Facebook runs a survey every day … and that’s shown that vaccine confidence in the US has been slowly but steadily going down since February,” said Dr. Christopher Murray, director of the University of Washington’s Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation.

As the rate of vaccination starts to slow in parts of the U.S., authorities are desperate to find novel ways of enticing reticent Americans to roll up their sleeves for a dose of Pfizer or Moderna.
Being America, appeals to selflessness and the greater good only go so far. It’s not enough to say you won’t get sick and die, and that you won’t get your grandmother or your pal at work infected if you get the shot. Certainly not enough to convince you to get vaccinated if you voted for Donald Trump or believe that Bill Gates wants to hijack your DNA through the jab.
