The national Dog Aging Project is looking for pets to enroll in a study that’s for the dogs.
Now in its second year, the project is hoping to expand to have a better representation of the entire U.S. dog population. There are an estimated 90 million dogs living in America.
The project is especially interested in big dogs, service animals and working dogs, puppies, and dogs that live in rural areas.

An unexpected side effect of the COVID-19 vaccine has prompted experts to take a closer look at how menstrual cycles are impacted following the shot, reports say.
Katherine Lee, a post-doctoral scholar in the public health sciences division at the University of Washington School of Medicine in St. Louis, told TODAY she and a colleague discussed their side effects after taking the vaccine. Turns out both of them had experienced an unexpected change in their menstrual cycle.

SEATTLE - Apple is teaming up with researchers at the Seattle Flu Study and the University of Washington to test if everyday devices, such as an Apple Watch or an iPhone, can be used to predict illnesses like COVID-19.
The Seattle Flu Study is an infectious disease surveillance program started by the Brotman Baty Institute and researchers at The University of Washington School of Medicine (UW Medicine), the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, and Seattle Children’s, to track the spread of bacterial and viral respiratory infections in the Seattle area.
