From April 1 – 7, the state reported 4,602 new COVID-19 cases, compared to 3,296 the week prior. New COVID-19 cases have dropped 90% since the peak in mid-November.
There were 296 new hospitalizations with COVID-19 this past week, compared to 344 the week prior. New hospitalizations have dropped 81% since the peak back in mid-November.
The total COVID-19 inpatient population statewide increased from 253 to 275. Statewide hospitalizations have dropped 88% from the all-time high of 2,278 during the week ending November 17th.
Meanwhile, the state’s total hospital capacity is over 11,500 inpatients. There were 2,055 immediately available beds on March 31.
In the past week, the state reported 31 new deaths, compared to 25 the week prior. The number of new deaths has dropped 93% since it peaked at 423 during the week ending on December 22nd.
