London School of Architecture names new head

The London School of Architecture (LSA) has announced that Neal Shasore will replace its founder, Will Hunter, as head of school and chief executive
Shasore, who has been a lecturer and design history tutor at the architectural education disruptor since 2019, will take over from Hunter at the end of this academic year in June.

The LSA was England’s first new independent school of architecture since the Architectural Association opened in 1847. It was launched by Hunter nearly six years ago as an ‘experimental Part 2-only’ school to broaden access to architecture by offering work placements alongside learning, making graduates ‘more employable and the course more affordable’.
