Hywel Dda health board opens mass vaccination drive-through in Carmarthen

A new mass vaccination centre opens on March 8 at Carmarthen showground AN ADDITIONAL mass vaccination centre will open in Carmarthenshire early next week. The centre, at the United Counties Showground in Carmarthen, opens on Monday, March 8 to support the delivery of Hywel Dda University Health Board’s Covid-19 vaccination programme. The health board recently confirmed people in priority groups 7, 8 and 9 – that is everyone aged between 50 and 64 years old with no underlying health conditions – will be invited to receive their first Covid-19 vaccine at a mass vaccination centre as follows: • Group 7, people aged 60 - 64 years - starting 8 March • Group 8, people aged 55 - 59 years - starting 22 March

What it s like for teenagers studying at Coleg Sir GÃ¢r during the pandemic Coleg Sir GÃ¢r has a range of courses including full and part-time honours degrees, vocational diplomas and A-levels Updated Advertorial Graig Campus at Coleg Sir GÃ¢r âStudying during a pandemic has its challenges,â said Nia Edwards, who is a 16-year-old student at Coleg Sir GÃ¢r. Based at the Graig campus, she is studying biology, chemistry, physics, photography and the Extended Project Qualification. She started her A-level experience during Covid-19, something she could never have imagined a few years ago. Now she is a college ambassador and is helping prospective students to understand what it s like at the college during the virtual open week, which starts on March 8.

Abstract The Doctorate in Professional Practice (DProf) programme at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD) provides a means for practitioners in a range of professions to undertake research, and achieve doctoral status, whilst maintaining their professional roles. The programme is generic, covering a wide range of professional backgrounds, though most are allied to the social sciences. Students on the programmes are generally mature individuals, senior in their fields, from across the world. They have significant expertise in their professional fields, but often have limited understanding of quantitative research processes, including the use of statistics. This deficit is addressed via a module in Quantitative Research delivered via a series of seven online seminars utilising meeting/webinar applications.
