Solicitor, 59, died of blood clot 3 weeks after taking AstraZeneca vaccine but family urge Brits to keep taking jab

THE family of a solicitor who died of a blood clot less than three weeks after taking the AstraZeneca jab have urged Brits to keep saving lives by taking the jab.

Neil Astles, 59, died from a blood clot after getting his first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine.
His sister, Dr Alison Astles, urged others to keep taking it, saying he was extraordinarily unlucky.
The UK withdrew the shot s use in under-30s on Wednesday, out of what it called extreme caution.
The sister of a man who died from a blood clot after receiving the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine encouraged other people to continue taking it.
Dr Alison Astles told The Daily Telegraph s Bill Gardner and Sarah Knapton that her family still urges people to take the shot, arguing that its effectiveness against the coronavirus far outweighs the risks.

Solicitor Neil Astles, 59, died on Sunday after getting the
Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine on 17 March, his sister Alison Astles, who is a pharmacist, said.
Dr Astles said she was told by clinicians at Royal Liverpool University Hospital they were 99.9% sure the clot was due to the vaccine.
She told Sky News she was in complete shock after her brother s death.

The sister of a man who died from a rare blood clot on the brain after receiving the AstraZeneca vaccine has urged the public to “keep saving lives” by continuing to receive the jab.
