Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu yesterday said that the Federal Government had reservations about the resumption of schools yesterday, January 18, even as it was observed that there was partial compliance with COVID-19 protocols in many schools that reopened in many states.
The Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma, has warned that failure to wear face mask in compliance with the protocols on COVID-19 would lead to the arrest and prosecution in the state.

The autopsy was conducted at the University Teaching Hospital, Damaturu, to unravel the actual cause of death.
A statement from ASP Dungus Adul-Kareem, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) said, the Post-Mortem Examination revealed that the deceased died as a result of Cardio-Respiratory Failure resulting from excessive use of Drugs (or Drug overdose).
Recall that on the 7th January 2021 at about 0700hrs, the Yobe State Police Command apprehended four suspects in connection with the death of Balkisu Ali (F), who died at the Government Lodge, Damaturu.
The case has been under investigation at the state CID, Damaturu.

Government has reiterated that the COVID-19 vaccines which Zambia will receive are verified by credible sources.
Minister of Health Jonas Chanda has disclosed this adding that his ministry will follow the necessary procedures required in receiving and giving vaccines to members of the public.
Dr. Chanda said the issue of COVID -19 vaccines will first have to be taken to Cabinet after which he will issue a ministerial statement in parliament according to what would be agreed upon.
ZANIS reports that Dr. Chanda has since reassured Zambians that the acquisition of COVID-19 vaccines will be done in a transparent manner and everything that government is doing is in the best interest of the people.
