The youth leaders from Igangan in Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo State have denied insinuations in some quarters that the youths of the town walked out on Governor ‘Seyi Makinde on Monday, during a Town Hall meeting in the area.
The youths leaders also said that those perpetrating crime in the community usually hide in an uncompleted building which is about 76 bedrooms.
The General Secretary of the Ibarapaland Farmers’ Association, Mr. Taiwo Adeagbo, who spoke on behalf of the community, on Tuesday in Ibadan, said that no one walked out on the governor.
According to him, the people of the area including the youths, who were yearning for solution to the security challenges, were glad that the governor and his delegation came to Igangan to address the situation.
General Secretary of the Ibarapa land Farmers’ Association, Mr. Taiwo Adeagbo, who spoke on behalf of the community, stated that no one walked out on the governor.
He stated that he had once come to Ibadan with 14 victims of herdsmen attacks during the administration of the late Governor Abiola Ajimobi, stating that nothing was done to address the situation or even take care of the victims.
He maintained that the people of the area wanted solutions to the security challenges and were appreciative of the fact that the governor and his delegation came to Igangan to address the situation.
Adeagbo stated this on Tuesday, declaring that there is no truth in the report that youths waked out on the governor during the interactive session.

The longest serving lecturer at the University of Ibadan, Mr Nigel Henry, has been reported dead. Until his death, Henry was a lecturer in the Department of Classics.
Report of his death was contained, on Sunday in an unsigned statement by the department of Classics in the University.
The statement read in parts “With a deep sense of sorrow the Department of Classics announces the passing of Mr. Nigel Henry which regrettable event occurred on the night of 30 January, 2021, at the University College Hospital, Ibadan.
“Mr. Henry, our longest-serving academic member of staff, who spent over four decades nurturing students in the various sub-disciplines of Classics, especially in Greek and Latin languages and literature, was an outstanding student of the highest order.

Nigel Henry died on Saturday at the age of 71.
The longest-serving academic staffer of the University of Ibadan, Nigel Henry, is dead.
This was announced in a statement issued on Monday by the Group of Academics and colleagues of the deceased at the university.
Mr Henry died on Saturday at the
University College Hospital, Ibadan. He was 71 years old (December 14, 1950 – January 30, 2021).
“With a deep sense of sorrow but profound appreciation for a life well spent in academia, the Department of Classics announces the passing of Mr Nigel Henry, which regrettable event occurred on the night of 30 January, 2021, at the University College Hospital, Ibadan,” the statement reads.

Nigel Henry, a British, died on Sunday, at the University College Hospital, Ibadan.
Until his passage, Henry was a lecturer in the Department of Classics and taught every current member of staff of the department.
Among his students are, the current Dean of Students of the university, Prof ‘Keye Abiona and the incumbent Executive Governor of Edo State, Mr Godwin Obaseki who graduated in 1979.
Director of Public Communication, University of Ibadan, Olatunji Oladejo, said the university is saddened at the loss of the only longest serving expatriate in the university.
