District II, IV, and IV. Out of the three only one, District V was running contested. District II and IV had incumbents Hector Sabido and Kelly Palmer running uncontested. Four people were vying for the District V seat and went to incumbent Jim Holmes. Wacoans of District IV and V although represented by their same council members had plenty to say on what they like and where they think improvements should be made.

The Waco Tribune-Herald is reporting that the Gaines plan to use the building as their Magnolia Headquarters. The Tribune reported the Gaines bought the 70-year-old building, located at 900 Franklin Ave., with the goal of making it the corporate headquarters for their brand Magnolia. “I can confirm the purchase of the building located at 900 Franklin Ave., which will move Magnolia’s corporate headquarters to the heart of downtown Waco in 2022,” Magnolia spokesperson John Marsicano told the Tribune via email.

TxDOT to shift I-35 northbound mainlanes south of BUS 77 on Wednesday TXDOT and last updated 2021-03-16 12:13:36-04 WACO, TX — UPDATE: ORIGINAL STORY: The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) plans to shift I-35 northbound mainlanes south of BUS 77 to the newly reconstructed lanes from 7 p.m. to 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 16. According to TxDOT, alternating northbound mainlanes and all northbound entrance and exit ramps from 12 th Street to BUS 77 will be closed. The northbound frontage road from 14 th Street to 8 th Street is expected to be open and should help with traffic flow during the shift. Signage will be in place to help inform and direct drivers, TxDOT said. Travelers are encouraged to use Loop 340 to avoid construction zones.
