Driver Arrested After Truck Slams into Garage in Cortland County A man has been accused of driving while his ability was impaired by alcohol and drugs following an early-morning crash in the town of Virgil. Authorities say 37-year-old Dustin Vannederynen was injured when the pickup truck he was operating went off Route 392 shortly after 1 a.m. Friday. According to the Cortland County Sheriff s Office, the vehicle struck a parked car, a garage and a guide rail. Vannederynen was taken to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse for treatment. Investigators say the driver was charged with DWI and driving while ability impaired. He also was cited for unlawful possession of marijuana and unsafe speed.
