Just days after the second phase of the coronavirus vaccine rollout in Northeast Ohio, officials from local health boards, hospitals and pharmacies coordinating the effort expressed concern about the possibility of demand being higher than the limited supply.
Phase 1B began on Monday with Ohioans ages 80 and older. There are no walk-up clinics, officials cautioned. All vaccines locally and statewide are being done by appointment only.
On Tuesday, the vaccine was well received when people waiting their turn applauded as University Hospitals of Cleveland began inoculating members of the general public at its Management Services Center in Shaker Heights.
âItâs been a fun day,â UH Chief Operating Officer Dr. Robyn Strosaker said of the first day of vaccinations for non-employees. âThe people are just so excited. There are cheers and clapping and this is what weâre here for.â

It would ve been nice if the integrative functional care team had assigned this patient a Pill Administrator so she had help in managing her zillion drugs and supplements. Or maybe they gave her a giant-size compartmentalized Pill Wheel so she knew what and when to take every day.
I have a hard time believing all of the added functional sludge they gave her helped her gastritis issues or contributed in any way to quality of life, much less her remission from cancer. At least they didn t prescribe twice daily coffee enemas like those poor patients with pancreatic cancer treated by Nicholas Gonzalez.

Dr. Kathryn Anne (Huxtable) Lewis, 86, of Tyrone, died Dec. 7, 2020, completing her residency on Earth and receiving her eternal retirement in Heaven. Kathryn was born in Lakewood, Ohio, to Harold S. and Ottilie May Huxtable.
She was married on April 8, 1967, to the Rev. Dr. Samuel T. Lewis III, who preceded her in death.
Also preceding her in death were her brother, Richard Scott Huxtable; sister, Mary Frances Huxtable; and a family friend, Verneda Schwan.
She is survived by sons: Samuel T. “Todd” Lewis IV (Marcie) and Dr. Stephen A. B. Lewis (Jackie); a daughter, Anne E. M. Schuyler (Matthew); and 16 grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters, Martha H. Harris (Jim) and Anne H. Palomaki (Jack); and much-loved nieces and nephews.
