Two employees at an Ohio hospital have been placed on leave after a kidney was given to the wrong patient.
In a statement, University Hospitals in Cleveland apologized for the incident and confirmed that the patient who received the kidney is recovering but the transplant surgery for the patient who was supposed to get the kidney has been delayed.

Health officials at University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio, had to apologise to two patients after a kidney transplant went wrong.
The hospital confirmed the patient who received the kidney is recovering as expected , with the organ compatible with the person. We have offered our sincerest apologies to these patients and their families, University Hospital said in a statement.
