ONE more person has died with coronavirus at Dorset hospitals, latest figures show. Data released by NHS England in its daily update shows one person died at the University Hospitals Dorset Trust with Covid-19. The death came on April 8 and is the first Covid death in the county’s hospitals since March 31. It means since the start of the pandemic, a total of 733 people have died at the University Hospitals Dorset Trust. Elsewhere, 111 people have died at the Dorset County Hospital and 73 people have died at the Dorset Healthcare Trust. In hospitals across England, a further 33 people died with the virus, taking the total to 86,543.

The last time a death was recorded in a Dorset hospital was on March 31 at the Dorset County Hospital. Since the start of the pandemic, a total of 111 people have died at the Dorset County Hospital, 733 people have died at the University Hospitals Dorset Trust, and 73 people have died while under the care of the Dorset Healthcare Trust. There has not been a recorded Covid-19 death at the Dorset Healthcare Trust since March 14.
