The newly recorded deaths came on January 26, when two people died, ten people died on January 25, 13 died on January 24, five died on January 23 and three died on January 22. Six more deaths were also recorded at the Dorset County Hospital, taking the hospital’s total to 69. One person died on January 26, two people on January 24, one person on January 23 and two people on January 22.

The latest figures from NHS England reveal that a total of 557 people have died with Covid-19 in Dorset hospitals since the beginning of the pandemic. There have been 274 deaths in University Hospitals Dorset, 63 in Dorset County Hospital and 45 within the Dorset Healthcare Universities Trust. A further 875 people who tested positive for Covid-19 have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 67,921.

NHS England figures show 557 people had died in hospital at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust as of 5pm on Monday (January 25). There have been 274 deaths in University Hospitals Dorset, 107 at Poole Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, 68 at Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, 63 in Dorset County Hospital and 45 within the Dorset Healthcare Universities Trust. The victims were among 3,261 deaths recorded across the South West. Daily death counts are revised each day, with each case backdated to the actual date of death.

The latest figures from NHS England reveal that a total of 550 people have died with Covid-19 in Dorset hospitals since the beginning of the pandemic. There have been 267 deaths in University Hospitals Dorset, 63 in Dorset County Hospital and 45 within the Dorset Healthcare Universities Trust. A further 609 people who tested positive for Covid-19 have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 67,046. Patients were aged between 30 and 101 years old. All except 14 (aged 41 to 96 years old) had known underlying health conditions.
