A family of seven live in the home. They were awakened by smoke detectors and were fleeing the home as first responders arrived. Some of the family had to climb out small basement windows, officials say. All were evaluated on the scene and declined to go to the hospital, according to the Arlington Fire District. The fire started in garbage cans on the outside of the building against an exterior wall of the house. The fire then extended to include both the house and garage.
