ID of man killed in Nampa shooting released
The Canyon County Sheriff s Office said the 76-year-old man knew the victim, based on initial information gathered.

NAMPA, Idaho Update: The Canyon County Coroner s Office released the identity of the victim on Monday. The victim was identified as 56-year-old Michael L. Koch of Nampa. No other information is available at this time but the investigation is ongoing.

The Canyon County Sheriff s Office announced on Saturday afternoon that a 76-year-old man was arrested on second-degree murder charges in connection to the death of a 56-year-old Nampa man.

A 27-year-old Ontario man who killed his father during his 21st birthday party in 2014, and served six years in prison for the crime, was arrested Thursday night on multiple felony charges involving a stolen vehicle and the shooting of a 48-year-old Payette man.
According to a news release from Canyon County Sheriffâs Office, Gregory Escobedo Jr. was arrested for allegedly shooting a man who tried to confront him for stealing his vehicle while the vehicle was stopped. The victim got a ride from someone and they followed the pickup into Canyon County.
The news release states that deputies responded at about 6:45 p.m. to the area of Old Highway 30 and Farmway Road in an attempt to find a Dodge pickup that had just been stolen from a gas station in Payette County. They then received information that the reporting party, who was in the nearby vicinity, had just been injured after confronting the person who stole the pickup.
An Oregon man was arrested by the Canyon County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) after allegedly stealing a vehicle from a gas station in Payette County. Jan. 20 A Caldwell man is in jail and a Nampa man is dead after a head-on car crash Tuesday in Canyon County.
Just after 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, Idaho State Police troopers were called to the scene of a crash on Idaho Highway 19 near the intersection of Simplot Boulevard and Notus Road in Greenleaf, according to a Wednesday morning news release from ISP.
After investigating, troopers found that a Caldwell man police have identified him as 30-year-old Pedro Avalos was driving a Toyota Camry in the westbound lanes of the highway when he crossed the center line and hit a Ford Ranger pickup truck headed east.

NAMPA, Idaho A man who died after being repeatedly stabbed in front of a home in Nampa early Sunday morning has been identified as the brother-in-law of the suspect.
The Canyon County Coroner s Office identified the victim Tuesday as 28-year-old Jossue Antonio Garcia of Nampa.
According to court documents filed in the case, Garcia was stabbed after a conflict involving his brother-in-law, 21-year-old Juanito Junior Rodriguez.
The victim s family described him as a great father, and best friend to his wife. He cared for five children under the age of 12 - three of their own, and his wife s two young brothers.
