Body of GVSU Student Found on Campus, Police Call Death Suspicious Police are investigating after a body was found on Grand Valley State University’s campus in Allendale Saturday morning. Fox 17 reports that a runner spotted the body near the intramural athletic fields, south of West Campus Drive. The deceased has been identified as a GVSU student. Police are calling the death suspicious. GVSU president Philomena Mantella said in a statement, I am deeply saddened to inform you that the deceased found earlier today on our Allendale Campus, near the intramural fields and cross-country trail, has been identified as a Grand Valley student, and police have notified the family. This is heartbreaking news for our entire community. I offer my deepest condolences to the student’s family and friends. We are not sharing the student s name out of respect for the family.
