ESSEX, CT Equipped with a passion for helping others and becoming an integral part of her native community, recent Valley Regional High School graduate and Ivoryton resident Ryce Libby has completed her six-month probationary training with the Essex Fire Department Engine 1 and is now an official, volunteer firefighter. It s awesome, said Libby, excited about her new endeavor. Everyone in the Department has been very supportive and I have made a lot of really good friends.
