The faculty and staff at the Texas Tech School of Veterinary Medicine now know who will be in their inaugural class. There was a specific mission in mind when deciding who the admissions committee would offer the opportunity to study at the Tech School of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. John Dascanio is a theriogenology professor and is the senior associate dean for Academic and Student Services at the Tech School of Veterinary Medicine. Dascanio discussed the mission that was kept in mind for what the admissions committee was looking for.
âWe had a very unique admissions process that was tied very close to our mission to serving rural and regional Texas and even beyond that,â Dascanio said. âIt was highly focused on the individualâs personal attributes and their life experiences. Their story, history and experiences had to align with serving our rural and regional communities.â

The blood-brain barrier shields the central nervous system, which comprises the brain and spinal cord, from the immune system.
In a new study, researchers have hypothesized that if this barrier is compromised, it could cause inflammation in the brain, which may, in turn, trigger schizophrenia.
To investigate this relationship, they used cells isolated from healthy individuals and from people with a rare genetic disorder that increases the risk of schizophrenia.
SUBJECT: Using scholl production units as a model for fisheries and livestock development for Zambia

In response to your plea, the public received exciting news on 22nd March 2021 that the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock has allocated $250,000 to finance the establishment of fishponds in 100 schools as part of their production unit activities. I want to address you on using school production units as one of the models for developing the fisheries and livestock sect
