Wagner said in a prepared statement that he wanted to pursue other employment opportunities next year.
He said during his tenure the district focused on students and helping students, made gains in student achievement, and survived the effects of COVID, among other achievements, and thanked the district for the opportunity.
School board chairman Dave Belus thanked Wagner for his time with the district.
The board voted to seek assistance from the Wyoming School Board Association in the search for a new district superintendent.

It s been nearing a year of remote learning for many students in the Alamance-Burlington Schools System, and district superintendent Bruce Benson is concerned.
He sees more than 200 seniors in danger of not getting their diploma on-time, a significant drop from last spring. On recent end-of-course exams, he witnessed scores sink across the district.
“We’ve taken a huge step backwards in terms of outcomes for kids,” Benson said “We have a responsibility to get our kids back on track, he said.

CAVE CITY, Ark. (KAIT) - Many school districts around Region 8 have been meeting to decide the next steps as CARES Act funding is beginning to expire, answering the question of how potential sick days should be handled in the future, especially with COVID-19.
Cave City is one such school district in the area that has already adopted an updated policy when it comes to sick days. Superintendent Steven Green says he wants to take as many burdens off of the faculty’s shoulders as they can.
