The ongoing Aadi Mahotsav at Delhi’s Dilli Haat that showcases the diversity and variety of Indian tribes, providing a peek into the rich tribal culture of the country, is already a grand success with over 2.9 million people having visited the show as of Sunday (7 February 2021).
One striking aspect of Sunday evening’s programme was a spectacular tribal fashion show that featured designs and clothes handcrafted by tribal master craftsmen and curated by the famous tribal artisan Ruma Devi and the renowned fashion designer Rina Dhaka. The resplendent weaves and fabrics came to life in the crafted designs that reflect the close connection tribals have with nature.

TRIFED requested to provide better marketing linkage for products developed by tribals of Mysuru district across the country
The products developed by tribals belonging to Mysuru district may soon get a countrywide market under the brand name of “Mysuru Tribals” with the district administration appealing to the Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India (TRIFED) to promote a marketing platform.
Deputy Commissioner Rohini Sindhuri on Friday met TRIFED Managing Director Praveer Krishna here for the purpose. The meeting discussed providing better price to the products developed by the tribals from the district by establishing a market link.

Raipur: The district administration of Maoist-affected district from Chhattisgarhâs Dantewada has launched a new initiative to weaken the Maoist forces by empowering and providing jobs to local youth.
The Dantewada district administration has set up a garment industry called Dantewada Next (DanNext) which will manufacture and sell the clothes under this brand name.
Dantewada District Collector Deepak Soni said, âWith local resources and manpower, we have launched apparel unit called DanNext to promote Bastar tribal art nationally and internationally and provide employment to local tribal youth and artists.
