Authorities in Ho Chi Minh City are currently identifying all individuals who may have come into contact with three people who illegally crossed the border from Cambodia before resting in the southern metropolis and eventually heading to northern Vietnam.
Two women and one man sneaked into the southern province of Tay Ninh at around 1:00 am on Wednesday, the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Disease Control (HCDC) said in an urgent announcement on the evening of the same day.
The Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation on April 21 expressed its appreciation of the Vietnamese Government providing 300,000 USD in humanitarian aid for its fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Prime Minister to attend ASEAN leaders’ meeting

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will lead a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation to an ASEAN leaders’ meeting to be held at the headquarters of the ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta, Indonesia from April 23-24.
The attendance will be made at the invitation of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei, which serves as the current ASEAN Chair, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs./.

Three people illegally entered Vietnam Wednesday from Cambodia, where Covid-19 is raging, and traveled to various places around the country, but have tested negative for the novel coronavirus.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Disease Control, they entered Tay Ninh Province through unmanned trails at 1 a.m. on Wednesday. The trio, a man and two women,
took a taxi from Tan Bien Town to HCMC and stayed at a hotel near Tan Son Nhat International Airport.

Cao Bang (VNA) – Border guards in the
northern
border province of Cao Bang arrested 41 people who had illegally
entered Vietnam over the past days.
The provincial
Border Guard Command said on April 20
that the groups of people were found trying to enter Vietnam illegally by soldiers
and officers from the Ngoc Con Border Guard Station in Trung Khanh district on April
18, 19 and 20.
Of the illegal entrants, eight are foreigners.
