Vietnam documented one locally-transmitted COVID-19 case in the northern province of Bac Giang in the past 12 hours as of 6 am on February 10, taking the national tally from the latest outbreak to 484 cases, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City introduced a luggage sanitizing system on Tuesday to mitigate the risk of spreading the COVID-19 pathogen from the airport staffers to passengers’ belongings.
The baggage of all arriving and departing passengers at the domestic terminal will be put through the disinfection system, airport managers said.
This measure was introduced after five baggage handlers who are employees of the Vietnam Airport Ground Services Company Limited (VIAGS) and work at Tan Son Nhat.

Tan Son Nhat International Airport on February 9 activated a system disinfecting luggage of its passengers to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
This is one of the countermeasures taken by the airport after several staff working for its luggage loading service were confirmed positive for the coronavirus
COVID-19 prevention and control measures have been rolled out at the highest level, the airport said.
The Airports Corporation of Vietnam has also asked airports nationwide to intensify the pandemic prevention and control, and fire-fighting measures during the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival.

VOV.VN - The Ministry of Health confirmed an additional 21 coronavirus infections on February 10, including 14 community cases in Hai Duong province, the country’s biggest coronavirus hotspot.

Thirteen of the 14 cases in Hai Duong tested positive for the virus after being placed in quarantine. They had come into close contact with COVID0-19 patients. The 14th patient was screened in hospital after showing flu-like symptoms such as a fever and a cough.
Elsewhere, four community cases were detected in Gia Lai province, a new coronavirus hotspot in the Central Highlands. Ho Chi Minh City and Quang Ninh province recorded one case each.
