Malaysia on course for 2022 cloud data target

To set things in motion, Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin (pic) launched Telekom Malaysia Bhd (TM) s Cloud and Cybersecurity Services for the government – a key step towards Malaysia s digital transformation. The government has targeted the migration of 80% of public data to hybrid cloud systems by the end of 2022 as a measure to empower public sector cloud computing services, TM group CEO Imri Mokhtar said at the launch event on Monday (April 12). Thanks to its ability to handle large volumes of information, cloud services will enable big data, artificial intelligence, Internet of things and other applications used to strengthen the delivery of government services to all Malaysians.
