Katy ISD holds open house for career and technology programs By Tracy Maness, Staff writer © Courtesy Photo Katy Independent School District’s Miller Career & Technology Center is hosting a virtual open house tonight. Here, Seven Lakes High School senior Robert Lozano works at MCTC s Old Town Bistro. Robert Lozano will be the first person in his family to go to college, and he is headed to the nation’s top school in his chosen field. Katy Independent School District’s Miller Career & Technology Center helped the Seven Lakes High School senior get accepted to The Culinary Institute of America. The center is hosting its first virtual open house from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. tonight, where it will showcase courses that juniors and seniors can enroll in for the 2021-22 school year to get a jump start on real-world experience and skills in fields ranging from cosmetology to automotive technology.
