L&C Veterans Club hosting blood drive

GODFREY The Lewis and Clark Community College Veterans Club will host an American Red Cross Blood Drive 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 17 at The Old Bakery Beer Company, 400 Landmarks Blvd., Alton.
To schedule an appointment, visit www.redcrossblood.org and enter Sponsor Code: LewisClark1 or call 800-RED CROSS. Walk-ins are always welcome, but scheduling an appointment online helps the Red Cross make sure they have the right number of people and supplies on hand for the drive.
Those who wish to donate can streamline their donation experience and save up to 15 minutes by visiting www.RedCrossBlood.org/RapidPass to complete the pre-donation reading and health history questions. Please eat and hydrate before donating and be sure to bring a valid photo ID. Those donating must present a photo ID to give blood.

The Riverbend Growth Association has announced new leadership for its board of directors along with new board members for 2021. Local COUNTRY Financial representative Jeff Lauritzen has been selected the new Chairman, while 1
st MidAmerica Credit Union President Alan Meyer was named Chair-elect.
Lauritzen has been with COUNTRY Financial since 2013 and before that worked in the banking industry. In addition to the Growth Association, he has also volunteered on boards serving Asbury Village, the East End Improvement Association, the United Way, and St. Ambrose Catholic Church. Meyer has also been involved with the RGBA and the United Way, as well as the American Cancer Society and the Illinois Credit Union League. The Board also selected four new members to serve three-year terms: Jake Bodi, Superintendent of Business Administration & Customer Service for Ameren Illinois; James Rogalsky, Co-Owner of Old Bakery Beer Co
