Is Shaquille O Neal Hiding Away in Rochester?

Google Maps Has the 15-time NBA All-Star and four-time World Champion ever actually hidden away in Rochester? If he’s looking for a place to hide, Rochester is the perfect place to do so. It’s quiet, it’s unassuming, and it’s full of good people that would treat Shaq just like anyone else. The only problem is, he’s one of the most recognizable people in the world, and we definitely would have heard if he was hanging around the Tri-Town area. Is it a different Shaquille O’Neal? There’s no question that since Shaq first joined the NBA in 1992, there have been plenty of babies given the moniker of “Shaquille,” and it’s possible that at least one of them has the last name “O’Neal.” But who would saddle a kid with those kinds of expectations? Students secure dual enrollment course inclusion in GPAs

Aidan Pollard Dec 15, 2020 Old Rochester Regional High School students were able to convince the ORR School Committee to let their dual enrollment classes count toward grade point averages at a Dec. 9 meeting.  Dual enrollment classes count toward a student’s transcript, but are take at community colleges rather than with teachers from ORR. Before the motion passed, the courses counted neither toward students’ GPAs nor class rank. Students, supported by Principal Michael Devoll, said that wasn’t fair when dual enrollment can be just as rigorous as an Advanced Placement course. Those classes count toward both GPAs and class rank.

New covid cases reported at ORRHS, Sippican School

Dec 15, 2020 Two new cases of covid-19 at the Old Rochester Regional High School and one at Sippican School have been reported, the Old Rochester Regional School District said in a Dec. 15 press release. The two positive cases at ORRHS have not been in the building since Dec. 11, and the positive individual at Sippican School has not been in since Dec. 8.
