The Evansville Brewery Beer Garden will happen on Saturday, May 29, from 2-7 p.m. at Adams Avenue and Putnam Streets just east of Haynie’s Corner. A $20 pre-purchased sampling ticket will get you unlimited beer samples from Carson’ Brewery, Damsel Brew Pub, Haynie’s Corner Brewing Co., Myriad Brewing and the Ohio Valley Homebrewers Association between 2-4 p.m. After 4 p.m., live music begins and beer will be sold by the pint. No ticket is necessary for entry after 4 p.m. Food trucks will be on hand. This event is for those 21 and over. A portion of proceeds will benefit Patchwork Central.
EVANSVILLE, Ind. Major Jason Ashworth with the Vanderburgh County Sheriff s Office announced his campaign to succeed the current sheriff in 2022.
Ashworth formally launched his campaign Tuesday morning at the Old Vanderburgh County Courthouse. The announcement was also live-streamed on the campaign Facebook page, facebook.com/AshworthForSheriff.
In his remarks, Ashworth highlighted several priorities, including hiring and training quality candidates for the sheriff s office, as well as work to strengthen partnerships with other law enforcement agencies and local organizations. That s going to be the number one goal. is making sure that the community is the best place and the safest place to live, he said.
