CLAY According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, an investigation is underway after a man robbed the ECO Credit Union in Clay on Monday afternoon.
“At approximately 4 p.m. on Monday, December 14, 2020, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to the ECO Credit Union on Old Springville Road in Clay in response to a reported bank robbery,” Sgt. Joni Money said. “Witnesses state that a black male who was wearing all black clothing and a black mask entered the Credit Union shortly before 4 p.m. and demanded money.”
There is currently no suspect in custody as it is early in the investigation. The case remains under investigation.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) is investigating a bank robbery that happened Monday evening.
According to JCSO, at 4 p.m. deputies responded to a call of a bank robbery at the ECO Credit Union on Old Springville Road in Clay.
Police reports say witnesses stated it was a black man in all black clothing wearing a black mask. They said he entered the credit union demanding money.
