RHEA COUNTY, Tenn.
UPDATE: After four days of searching, a dog that was walking with a missing hiker from Rhea County has been located and returned to its owner. Search and rescue crews are still looking for the man.
Investigators say finding the dog is a huge piece of the puzzle. They were initially searching the entire area of the Pocket Wilderness. Now, they believe they can narrow it down to the contained space where the dog has been.

About the position
The mid-Atlantic region of Delaware, Maryland, DC, and Virginia faces grave, inter-connected challenges, including unemployment, racial and economic inequality, and environmental destruction. The pandemic has made these problems worse. People of color and people without access to clean air are dying from COVID-19 disproportionately. Our region is down 480,000 jobs since the spring of 2020, and the economic recovery has slowed.
The communities who bear the brunt of these problems have not had much of a say in what the solutions should look like. This has led to responses that are inadequate and, sometimes, exploitative.

Sometimes Monday is a slow news day, and sometimes the Washington Spirit announce Alex Ovechkin as a new member of their ownership around the same time that Mayor Muriel Bowser is changing Covid-19 regulations, meaning that D.C. United can have more fans at Audi Field as soon as this weekend.
Yesterday was the latter! So let’s get into it:
We’ll have more on the Spirit’s confirmation that Washington Capitals “build a statue” level legend Alex Ovechkin is among their new set of investors, but here’s where you should start today. Having the biggest name in DC sports on board is potentially huge news for Washington.
