A 21-year-old Passaic County man was arrested Monday and charged with killing another man the day after an argument that turned physical, authorities said.
Kamar Isom, of Paterson, faces a murder charge in the shooting death of Raaseon Adams, 45, on April 25 outside the Adams’ home in the 200 block of Summer Street, according to investigators.
Adams was found lying on the sidewalk, struck multiple times by gunfire. He was taken to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center, where he later died, police said.
“The subsequent investigation revealed that the day prior to the murder, Isom and the victim engaged in a verbal argument which escalated into a physical altercation,” Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes said in a statement.

A man died after being dropped off at a Paterson hospital with nine gunshot wounds, authorities said.
The man, whose identity is under investigation, was taken to University Medical Center on Saturday by “individuals in a private vehicle,” according to a press release from the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.
They left him at the hospital and drove away as staff rushed him to the emergency room. They could not save him and the man was later pronounced dead, the office said.
Authorities are now investigating who the victim was, why the shooting took place and where it occurred.
