A MALAYSIAN who lost his job in Singapore is now trying his hand at becoming an agropreneur by setting up a bitter gourd
farm, Utusan Malaysia reported.
Mohd Lokman Kumasi, 25, was raking in S$1,700 (RM5,167) working as a manager at a fast food restaurant in Singapore but he was terminated due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The electrical engineering graduate was even more anxious to return as he had recently gotten married.
“My mother and I were in Ayer Baloi looking at a plot of land and on the way back we stopped by an agricultural project involving hanging cucumbers managed by local entrepreneur Nor Azman Mohd Erhan, ” he said.
