In fact, 51% of people in Bahrain are willing to move towards environmentally sustainable lifestyle in their daily lives. This was contained in a recent report by Boston Consulting Group (BCG) entitled “Are Consumers in the Gulf Region Ready to Adopt an Environmentally Friendly Lifestyle?” That growing public awareness is due to the roles that government, institutions and civil society organisations play in supporting environmental sustainability initiatives, the report revealed.

Naseej, Ithmaar plan $105m residential project in Bahrain MANAMA, January 13, 2021 Naseej, a leading real estate development company in Bahrain, has signed an agreement with Ithmaar Holding to develop a BD40 million ($105 million) residential project in the northern governorate area of Barbar.    The project, which will come up on a 150,000 sq m area, boasts a total of 400 units - 300 villas and 100 residential plots, thus covering the development of the suburb in its entirety.    It is mainly targeted at the beneficiaries of the Ministry of Housing’s Mazaya programme, said senior officials at the signing ceremony.    The agreement was signed by Ithmaar Holding CEO Ahmed Abdul Rahim and Naseej General Manager Ahmed Mohammed Al Hammadi at Ithmaar Holding’s headquarters in the Seef District in the presence of Naseej Managing Director Mohammed Khalil Al Sayed and Ithmaar Bank Deputy CEO Abdul Hakeem Al Mutawa.

Bahraini residents can now apply for self-sponsored residence permits via www.evisa.gov.bh, state news agency BNA reported. The Nationality, Passport and Residence Affairs (NPRA) said the service covers foreign retirees, investors and property owners in Bahrain. Two-, five- and 10-year permits will be issued. The online service is in response to Bahrain Interior Minister s directives to expand e-services. Services will gradually be moved to the website. The service is also part of the NPRA s dedication to promoting the investment environment as part of the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030, BNA said in its report.
