About 250 participants from 44 countries took part in the conference, including Afghanistani President Ashraf Ghani and Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan. President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who initiated the conference, emphasized how Central and South Asian states serve as a bridge for the countries in the Middle East, Europe and China.
