Foreign Minister says meeting with his Indian counter is not planned.
Pakistan welcomes the UAE’s mediation in resolving issues with India, said a senior official on Sunday.

In an exclusive interview with Khaleej Times, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said, “We welcome third-party facilitation but, no matter what friends say, the initiative has to be indigenous. The political will has to be demonstrated by leadership of India and Pakistan. They can be suggestive and facilitators but, ultimately, it is the people of South Asia who have to decide what kind of future they visualise for the posterity.
Jemima Khan is normally very supportive of her ex-husband Imran Khan but even she had upbraided the Pakistani Prime Minister for recommending purdah as a way in which women could reduce the incidence of rape.
During a question and answer session with members of the public on Sunday on how Pakistan should combat a surge in rape cases, Imran also targeted Bollywood, saying Delhi had become “a rape capital of the world” due to indecency and “obscenity” shown in films.
“World history tells when you increase fahashi (vulgarity) in society, two things happen: sex crimes increase and the family system breaks down,” said Imran.

Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan recently spoke on the matter of increasing rape cases and blamed ‘vulgarity’ for it. He said that obscenity plays a huge part in it. This is not the Pakistani culture but something that we learnt from western countries.
In a recently held interactive session with the public, the PM spoke with the people and also answered some of their questions. It was an online session with people asking their questions over a phone call. One of the people’s asked a question regarding the increase in rape cases. He asked why there was an increase in rape cases and sexual assault. Imran Khan responded while blaming vulgarity.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov arrived in Islamabad on Tuesday on a two-day visit aimed at holding wide-ranging talks on bilateral and regional matters amid growing relations between the rivals of the cold-war era in various fields including defence and security.
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi welcomed Lavrov, who is leading a 13-member delegation, on arrival in Islamabad from New Delhi, which was his first destination of the trip that will also take him to Kazakhstan, Iran and Egypt.
According to the Foreign Office, the Russian foreign minister will have delegation-level talks with Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Wednesday. He will call on Prime Minister Imran Khan and have interaction with other dignitaries.
