PSF’s knowledge economy fund hailed

Islamabad:The knowledge economy fund of PSF will open a new window of opportunities for the best competitive projects, said International Islamic University (IIU) Rector Dr. Masoom Yasinzai on Wednesday.
He was talking to Chairman of the Pakistan Science Foundation Prof. Dr. Shahid Mehmood Baig, who visited the IIU and met the rector and President Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi. During the meeting issues pertaining to mutual interests including ongoing projects through mutual cooperation and launch of knowledge economy based ventures were discussed.
The Chairman PSF hailed progress on a PSF-funded Triple Helix Project on Upscaling of AI-enabled Data Mining Platform for Informed Decision Making for COVID-19 and Future Pandemic Scenarios for Government of Pakistan at Centre of Advanced Electronics and Photovoltaic Engineering. Fawad Chaudhry announces regular sports status for E-Sports
Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry on Wednesday announced that e-Sports will now get regular sports status in the country.
Taking to the popular social media site Twitter today, the minister announced that the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) and Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding the matter. A memorandum has been signed between Pakistan Sports Board and Pakistan Science Foundation after which e-Sports will get regular sports status, he wrote. IIU clinches research and development grant

Islamabad : The team of International Islamic University (IIU) has brought an honor to the International Islamic University (IIU) by winning yet another international Research and Development (R&D) grant from HEC and British Council.
Dr. Imran Murtaza, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Shuja and Centre for Advanced Electronics and Photovoltaic Engineering (CAEPE) won the grant.
The project aimed to engineer the Energy harvesters and develop the self-charging power packs with the potential to revolutionize wearable technology and electric cars.
This new technology is well-aligned with the energy priority area of both Pakistan and the UK, and will enable to enhance and improve the performance of current technology such as health, environment and food quality monitoring, smart cities and buildings, transportation, sport activities, space expeditions and military devices.
