ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Shibli Faraz Wednesday said the over-riding priority of the current government under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan was to ensure complete freedom of expression as provided in the provisions of the 1973 Constitution.He was responding to the Council of Pakistan Newspapers Editors (CPNE) annual report on freedom of media in Pakistan, published in newspapers on February 01.

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Shibli Faraz says the PTI government firmly believes in freedom of expression as a basic constitutional and democratic right.
He expressed these views during his visit to the office of Pakistan Broadcasters Association in Karachi and a meeting with its office bearers.
The Information Minister said government will continue its efforts for development and promotion of media industry.
He assured that the problems faced by Pakistan Broadcasters Association will be resolved with mutual cooperation and coordination.
