28 foreign language books translated into Urdu Students, teachers from 10 govt schools attended Learning Festival ISLAMABAD: A three-day hybrid Pakistan Learning Festival (PLF) offered a magical atmosphere as children and teachers read books written in the languages of Laos, Vietnam, and Indonesia that were translated into Urdu. The PLF is an initiative of the Children’s Literature Festival (CLF) that was inaugurated by showcasing Pakistan Literacy Project (PLP)’s newly integrated Room to Read (RtR) books, a spokesperson shared on Wednesday. Each day of the multilingual, multicultural and multi-site festival showcased book launches of three beautifully illustrated and translated books in Urdu through the festival s children and teachers’ agency , they added.

Children’s Literature Festival starts Lahore February 9, 2021 LAHORE:The three-day Children’s Literature Festival (CLF), a nationwide movement and flagship programme of civil society organisation Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi (ITA), started hybrid to hold the first Pakistan Learning Festival (PLF) to promote learning during the pandemic on Monday. The multi-site, multi-lingual and multi-cultural festival, being held in collaboration with British Council Pakistan, Children Library Complex (CLC), Oxford University Press (OUP) Pakistan, Room to Read and National History Museum (NHM), kicked off with a number of interactive sessions and activities taking place simultaneously at three locations – CLC and NHM in Lahore, and OUP Bookstore Park Towers in Karachi – where a few students and teachers were present on site while mostly attended it online from across Pakistan and beyond.

Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi announces three-day virtual learning festival

Karachi February 7, 2021 To promote learning during the pandemic, the Children’s Literature Festival (CLF), a programme of civil society organisation Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi (ITA), will host the Pakistan Learning Festival (PLF) from February 8 to 10, 2021, with the collaboration of the British Council Pakistan, Children Library Complex (CLC), Oxford University Press (OUP) Pakistan, Room to Read and National History Museum (NHM). The PLF 2021 will be a hybrid festival of learning with a few students and teachers present on site and mostly attending it online from across Pakistan and beyond. According to a statement issued, the programme for the PLF 2021 would cater to all segments of society, including students, teachers, parents and families. Over a 100 sessions have been planned for the three-day learning festival with around 76 resource persons from Pakistan, Nepal, United Kingdom and United States.
