POA offers to hold PFF elections Sports January 13, 2021 KARACHI: FIFA these days is in search of a new chairman for the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) Normalisation Committee (NC) to replace Humza Khan who resigned from his post after having failed to live up to the billing. There are various issues which have been impeding the smooth flow of the electoral process of PFF. On Tuesday Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) Secretary General Khalid Mahmood said that the NOC had the capability to hold the PFF elections. “If FIFA gives us the task of holding the PFF elections, we have the capability to do this job successfully through the assistance of our provincial associations,” Khalid told ‘The News’.

The News/File LAHORE: The first female secretary-general of Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) Manizeh Zainli has announced to step down on expiry of her contract. Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) on Thursday confirmed that Manizeh Zainli has decided to step down from the position of the federation s secretary-general. “The PFF thanks Zainli for the services she has [rendered] for the development of football in the country during her tenure,” the governing body said in a statement. Zainli was appointed earlier this year in February and became the country’s first-ever female general secretary for the PFF.

Provincial, district normalisation committees dissolved Sports December 30, 2020 KARACHI: In a major development on Tuesday, Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) Normalisation Committee disbanded the provincial and district normalisation committees which had been constituted on December 9. In a directive, PFF Normalisation Committee chairman Muneer Ahmed Khan Sadhana said that after an investigation conducted by PFF Normalisation Committee member Col. Mujahidullah Khan and PFF General Secretary Manizeh Zainli, the provincial normalisation committees and district normalisation committees stood revoked. “The Sindh Provincial and District Normalisation Committees also stand revoked after a report submitted by Col. Mujahid and Zainli,” Sadhana said as per a press release issued by the PFF NC.

SAFF Championship to be held in September 2021 in Bangladesh

The biennial international men s football competition of South Asia,  the SAFF (South Asian Football Federation) Championship will be held tentatively from September 14 to 25, 2021 in Bangladesh,  Goal understands.  Pakistan was set to host this edition of the tournament but later it was shifted to Bangladesh. The BFF (Bangladesh Football Federation) has organised the competition thrice before in 2003, 2009 and 2018.  On 11 April 2018, SAFF awarded the hosting rights of the 2021 SAFF Championship to Pakistan after FIFA restored Pakistan Football Federation s membership. It would have been the country s first international football tournament after the overturn of the ban. However, on 15 September 2019, SAFF president Kazi Salahuddin and general secretary Anwarul Haque Helal along with representatives of seven member countries decided to shift the venue to Bangladesh. 

PFF forms two-member committee to probe matters - Newspaper

LAHORE: The affairs of the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) are becoming more complicated with each passing day and now a two-member committee has been formed by its FIFA-appointed Normalisation Committee (NC) Chairman Muneer Ahmad Khan Sadhana to probe the complaints received from the provincial committees against the alleged violation of laws and constitution of the PFF during the tenure of the previous chairman of the committee Hamza Khan. In a letter, a copy of which was obtained by Dawn, Sadhana also restrained all the provincial committees of Punjab, KP, Sindh, Balochistan, Gilgit Baltistan, and Islamabad formed by the previous chairman NC Hamza Khan on Dec 9, 2020, from discharging their duties. These committees were formed to hold the scrutiny of the clubs in their respective areas.
