ISLAMABAD: The government on Monday abruptly prorogued the National Assembly session even without completing the question hour after failing to meet the requirement of quorum following a noisy protest by the opposition when a minister informed the house that the Prime Minister Office had “dropped” the complaint of a woman alleging harassment to her and her family by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman retired Justice Javed Iqbal.
The opposition, while criticising Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Mohammad Khan over the reply, lodged a strong protest when Speaker Asad Qaiser refused to refer the matter to a house committee.

The National Assembly once again could not take up its agenda on Monday and was prorogued sine die due to lack of quorum.
PPP lawmaker Shahida Rehmani pointed out quorum soon after the question hour, following which the chair ordered the count. The attendance of lawmakers was found less than the required strength and the proceedings were suspended. The proceedings resumed after a break but the quorum was still found incomplete, following which the session was prorogued sine die. Seven government bills, two calling attention notices and as many reports of standing committees, a statutory report and a motion of thanks could not be taken due by the Lower House to quorum issue.

Islamabad [Pakistan], April 6 (ANI): The National Assembly of Pakistan on Monday saw a turmoil-filled session between the government and the opposition on a video scandal involving National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman who allegedly harassed a woman and the Pakistan Citizen Portal (PCP) who dropped her complaint, declaring it beyond jurisdiction .
According to the Express Tribune, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) demanded that the NAB video scandal should be handed to a standing committee while the treasury benches said that the move was a tactic to pressurise the bureau and its chairman.

About 600,000 people have expressed their pleasure over the resolution of their complaints at Pakistan Citizen Portal.
This was stated by Adil Saeed Safi, Deputy Secretary, Prime Minister s Performance Delivery Unit in an exclusive interview with News and Current Affairs Channel of Radio Pakistan today (Tuesday).
Adil Saeed said Pakistan Citizen Portal has so far disposed of 3.1 million public complaints, with 96 percent disposal rate.
He said a dedicated website has been launched on statistics of Pakistan Citizen Portal which will provide vital information to people.
He explained that PMDU is a dedicated unit for governance and improvement in service delivery. Under its umbrella, a number of initiatives are working, one of which is Pakistan Citizen Portal. Prime Minister Imran Khan announced on Tuesday the provision of an exclusive category on the Pakistan Citizen Portal (PCP) for lodging complaints pertaining to land grabbing or Qabza mafia with a view to further improving public service delivery.
The prime minister said that the federal government was firm on curbing land grabbing in the country. To make it happen, according to an official statement, Imran has ordered strict actions as per law at various tiers of the administrations both at the federal and the provincial levels.
